The athletic stadium, Beijing National Stadium, has been nicknamed the 'Bird's Nest' due to the web of twisting steel sections that form the roof.
Beijing鈥檚 Olympic aquatic stadium, National Swimming Center, is called the 'Water Cube' because it looks like a giant ice cube.
