I really love the name Layla. What do you think about it? Is it overused? Do you know anyone with that name?
Is this girls name popular?
I love the name Layla. I think it is feminine and spunky, but good for all ages. I don't think its very popular, I've never seen a little girl named Layla.
Reply:I don't know anyone with that name, and it doesn't seem to be overused. In 2007 it was the 85th most popular name in the US and only about 900 out of every million babies were named Layla. Its popularity seems to be rising so you wouldn't be the last one to catch on to a trend before the name went out of fashion.

If you like the name then go ahead and use it!
Reply:It is rather popular, but not so much that I wouldn't recommend using it.
When choosing a name though, don't go off of if people know anybody else with that name; it's much more accurate to check the SSA list. That way, you can find out how popular it is for your daughter's age range.
I looked, and Layla was #85 in 2007, and it's getting more popular.
Reply:I love that name, and no, I don't know anyone named Layla.
The only thing that I can think of is the song Layla by Eric Clapton - which is also an amazing song. :) Anyways. Layla is a beautiful name, and it is definately not overused. Go for it!
Reply:I don't think it's overused, I don't know any Layla's. It's one of those familiar names that at the same time isn't too common, which is nice because everyone will know how to spell it, yet it's unlikely that there'll be multiple Layla's in a class.
Reply:I don't think it's popular...I love it. I like how you spell it. There is also a really good song called "Layla" but I don't know anyone with this name. I defenitely do not think it is overused.
Reply:gorgeous gorgeous name! polls say that it is very popular, but out of the millions of people that i and possible many others know, i have not met one person with the name layla :)
Reply:i know one girlwith that name, and i've never met anyone else with it. Its not that rare but its not as common as Amelia or Emma or Becca or kayla or a name like that :]
i would say its deff. not overused
Reply:I think Layla is a beautiful name. It reminds me of some sort of Greek goddess. Layla means dark beauty. I think its not overused. The only person I know with that name is Layla Ali.
Reply:gorrgeeouss.

Reply:That is a beautiful name...and NO it isnt overused..its popular but not overused.
:-)
Reply:Definetly not overused in California where I live, and I love the name! Very cute!
Reply:It is hard to say. Say it five times real fast. It sounds real dumb. Like you are needing to say something else right after it Laylabee or Laylayour head down or Laylame down...
Reply:I think it's a pretty name. I only know one 5 year old girl with it. I don't think it's widely overused, but not some out there name either. cute :)
Reply:Popular but not as popular as Lola or Lily
Reply:it is pretty popular right now, but still adorable. i know 3 layla's.
Reply:it is not overused, but i really perfer Kayla
Reply:i think it is ok but every time i here it i think of the show futurama lol and i dont know anyone with that name

Reply:I think it is a beautiful name!!! I don't know anyone with that name!!!
Reply:I like it! I haven't heard it much at all
Reply:its not that popular. the only layla is know is my friends baby sister

What is the popular street name of new orleans that begins with tch?
The name of the street is Tchoupitoulas.
It is the name of an Indian tribe that lived along the Misssissippi River when the French explored the area.
This is from Wikipedia.
Tchoupitoulas Street is a street in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. It is the through street closest to the Mississippi River running through Uptown New Orleans. Formerly, the street was heavily devoted to river shipping commerce, but as shipping became more containerized in the later 20th century, more of it became devoted to residential and other commercial uses.
The street starts at upriver side of Canal Street (the other side of French Quarter) and goes through New Orleans Central Business District and Uptown following the curve of the crescent bend of the river before coming to its terminus hitting East Road at Audubon Park. The equivalent street on the French Quarter side of Canal Street is Peters Street. Peters splits into two streets on the Uptown side, one continuing as Peters, and the other as Tchoupitoulas.
In the Central Business District, some renowned hotels (such as Ambassador Hotel and Renaissance Arts Hotel) and restaurants (Emeril's and also Mother's at the corner of Poydras Street and Tchoupitoulas) are located on the street. In Uptown, Tipitina's, a music club, is located at the corner of Napoleon Avenue and Tchoupitoulas. Other stores, restaurants, and clubs are located further up river along Tchoupitoulas, perhaps most famously Hansen's Sno-Bliz.
The name of the street comes from the name of an extinct Indian tribe [1]. The name is pronounced CHOP-it-TOO-luhs.

Reply:It's Tchoupitoulas Street, and it runs parallel to the Mississippi River; it's one block from the river. It runs from Canal Street downtown all the way uptown to the Audubon Zoo's swamp exhibit. The name comes from an Indian tribe which translates to "those who live along the river."

Is Lily becoming a popular name?
My daughter is naming her baby Lily Brooke.
Is Lily becoming a popular name?
The popularity of the name Lily is rising in the Unites States and Canada while declining in other English speaking countries. Its probably so popular because the Lily is a symbol of innocence, purity and beauty.
On a second note, I wouldn't worry to much about the popularity of the name because your grand daughter is going to have a very beautiful name.
Congratuations, and don't forget to spoil her rotten :-) j/k.

Who is the writer that has a womens name and he wrote a song and it is very popular in the u.s?
my teacher at school said the first 10 that get these questions will get a prize, can you plz tell me?
Who is the writer that has a womens name and he wrote a song and it is very popular in the u.s?
Mariah Carey
Reply:Francis Scott Key, probably, though that spelling of Francis is not a woman's name. He did write The Star Spangled Banner, which is the national anthem. I assume that the part about not being able to get in your house without it refers to his last name, and he was an author as well.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Sco...
Reply:He may be thinking of Jule Styne (pronounced like the woman's name Julie).
he wrote many standard songs, such as Everything's Coming Up Roses, Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend, The Party's Over, Funny Girl, Let It Snow, etc.
Reply:Lol, Jesse McCartney?
He co-wrote Bleeding Love, but that was more popular towards the beginning of '08.
Sorry, that's the only thing that popped into my head.
Maybe Marilyn Manson (sp?)

Back in the mid-60's, what was the name for the "bloomers" that were popular to wear by the teen crowd?
I think that they may have been called something that began with the letter P. I can remember the day that I was wearing them home from school and mine fell to the ground, and I was so embarrassed that I just kept walking right out of them!

Would Notre Dame be as popular today if they had used the English version of the college's name?
Under the charter the school is officially named the University of Notre Dame du Lac, which means University of Our Lady of the Lake.
Do you think the school would still have been popular if it were "University of Our Lady"?
Would Notre Dame be as popular today if they had used the English version of the college's name?
It would be kind of funny hearing commentators say "Our Lady" won't see any action until next Saturday when they open up against San Diego State!
Reply:I don't think so because the school got famous through its football prowess and I doubt many football players would want to play for a school called University of Our Lady.

What's the name of a popular old rock song with the lyrics "I wanna go home"?
It's pretty old..it talks about Illinois in the very beginning.
It says "I wanna go home" alot.
It has a catchy tune.
What's the name of a popular old rock song with the lyrics "I wanna go home"?
Van Morrison - I Wanna Go Home
Sailed on the sloop john b
My granddaddy and me
'round nassau town we did roam
We'd been drinkin' all night
Well i got into a fight
Yeah and i feel so broke up
I wanna go home
Hoist up the john b sail's
See how the mainsail sets
Send for the captain ashore
And let me go home
I wanna go home, i wanna go home, yeah
'cause i feel so broke up, i wanna go home
Yes i do
(he's so broke up, lord, i wanna go home)
Well captain's a wicked man
He gets drunk any time he can
And he don't give a damn for grandpappy
No, nor me
He kicks us around
And he knocks us about
Well i feel so broke up, i
I wanna go home
Well pull up the john b's sails
See how the mainsail sets
Send for the captain ashore
And let me go home
I wanna go home
Well, i wanna go home
'cause i feel so broke up (he's so broke up)
I wanna go home
(yes i do)
I feel so broke up
(he so broke up)
Lord, that i wanna go home

Reply:Actually it's a country song. Detroit City is the name first recorded by Bobby Bare Here are the lyrics.
Last night I went to sleep in Detroit City,
and I dreamed about those cotton fields at home.
I dreamed about my mother,
dear old Papa, Sister and brother,
I dreamed about that girl
who's been waiting for so long.
I wanna go home, I wanna go home,
oh, how I wanna go home!
Home, folks think I'm big in Detroit City.
From the letters that I write, they think I'm fine.
But by day, I make the cars,
and by night I make the bars,
If only they could read between the lines!
[Spoken]
You know,
I rode a freight train north to Detroit City.
After all these years,
I find that I've just been wastin' my time.
So I just think I'll take my foolish pride,
put on a south bound freight and ride,
Goin' back to the love ones,
The ones I left waitin' so far behind.
I wanna go home, I wanna go home,
oh, how I want to go home.

'round nassau town we did roam
We'd been drinkin' all night
Well i got into a fight
Yeah and i feel so broke up
I wanna go home
Hoist up the john b sail's
See how the mainsail sets
Send for the captain ashore
And let me go home
I wanna go home, i wanna go home, yeah
'cause i feel so broke up, i wanna go home
Yes i do
(he's so broke up, lord, i wanna go home)
Well captain's a wicked man
He gets drunk any time he can
And he don't give a damn for grandpappy
No, nor me
He kicks us around
And he knocks us about
Well i feel so broke up, i
I wanna go home
Well pull up the john b's sails
See how the mainsail sets
Send for the captain ashore
And let me go home
I wanna go home
Well, i wanna go home
'cause i feel so broke up (he's so broke up)
I wanna go home
(yes i do)
I feel so broke up
(he so broke up)
Lord, that i wanna go home

Reply:Actually it's a country song. Detroit City is the name first recorded by Bobby Bare Here are the lyrics.
Last night I went to sleep in Detroit City,
and I dreamed about those cotton fields at home.
I dreamed about my mother,
dear old Papa, Sister and brother,
I dreamed about that girl
who's been waiting for so long.
I wanna go home, I wanna go home,
oh, how I wanna go home!
Home, folks think I'm big in Detroit City.
From the letters that I write, they think I'm fine.
But by day, I make the cars,
and by night I make the bars,
If only they could read between the lines!
[Spoken]
You know,
I rode a freight train north to Detroit City.
After all these years,
I find that I've just been wastin' my time.
So I just think I'll take my foolish pride,
put on a south bound freight and ride,
Goin' back to the love ones,
The ones I left waitin' so far behind.
I wanna go home, I wanna go home,
oh, how I want to go home.
Reply:the only song i can think of is by van morrison. but i aint to sure so heres the lyrics of it:

Is Maile a popular girls name? Does anyone out there know any girls named Maile?
Maile [ mi-lay ] is not too popular, which would make it a good choice.
I only know one Maile - born 1979.
Her parents are our friends, and she was conceived in Hawaii.

Is the name Helen still popular in the Western World or is it getting archaic?
I know even in Eastern Europe where the name was very popular 30 years ago, they don't give this name to new born girls.

Need suggestion for name of web site for popular house names?
House names? Do you mean styles of houses?
Name 5 Relational Database Management Systems that are the most popular?
Name 5 Relational Database Management Systems that are the most popular and also tell me which Query Language is used the most...is it SQL?if it is....which derivative of SQL is used the most T-SQL or PL/SQL.and yes what percent of Relational Database Management Systems use SQL as their standard Query Language. If you can point to additional sources regarding this,it would be quite helpful as well.Waiting eagerly for your answers.
Name 5 Relational Database Management Systems that are the most popular?
remove the program and reinstall it and you will be fine good luck
Reply:I would say SQL is the widest-used relational query language by far. (In fact, don't even know of another in widespread use currently, offhand.) Most popular RDBMSs would probably depend on whether you want to include mainframes or not. If not, I'd say top 4 (in no particular order, tho Oracle very likely #1) are Oracle, SQL Server, Access and MySQL...number 5 probably a coinflip and far behind those 4. If you include mainframes, DB2, Terradata and IDMS would probably also be contenders.
I'd say PL/SQL well outstrips T-SQL because of Oracle's strength in the market.

Does anyone know the name of a famous anti-communist comic book popular in the '50s?
I'm looking for information on a famous comic book or pamphlet that was published near the1950s that featured about 20 "points" against communism, each with an accompanying illustration. I remember that in one frame, the local commie chief forces people to be plumbers. I know that it's posted online, but I can't remember the name of it.

Dramatizations of communist take-over were found in pamphlets and comics. One of the most famous of these comics, "Is this Tomorrow", showed the "Russians conquering and enslaving America." This fifty-two page, full-color comic book was published in 1947 by the Catechetical Guild Educational Society of St. Paul, Minnesota. It was originally sold for 10 cents a copy but was later distributed to many church groups. There were over four million copies in print.
Many other comics followed but none with the same success as the first "Is this Tomorrow".
There are various versions of this comic: the Australian version is black and white, with a colour cover. There was even a French-Canadian version, A Quand Notre Tour?
While comics were popular, other pamphlets and books also were produced in mass quantities. Books like "You can trust the Communists (to be Communist)" were published by the Christian Anti-communist Crusade (Schwarz). The book cover itself advertises, "over 1,000,000 copies in print." Books like this were not unfamiliar to the American public. This particular book, as well as many others, discussed the beliefs and practices of communism with their own particular spin, to accommodate their interests. For decades, top-selling books covered everything from Communist take over of American cities to what the communists are really up to and to how to protect yourself from the "reds."
Reply:Was it "This Godless Communism"? I'm wondering if it is by the description you gave! I hope this is what you were looking for! Good luck!
