Why does the name Ethan have to be so popular?

I've always really liked the name but it's ranked #4!

Why does the name Ethan have to be so popular?
My 6 year old sons name is Ethan Wade. I love his name! I knew his name even before I was pregnant....and really.....it may be ranked #4 but I hardly ever hear the name except my son of course. It's not as popular as they make it sound. Most awesome name ever.....go for it!
Reply:I feel the same way - great name, shame it is so popular. We are still thinking of using though. I think boys tend to like having popular names more than girls.

Reply:If you like it, go for it. I have one of the most common names EVER and I guess "JENNIFER" was pretty popular in 1983 because I know a MILLION of us with that name! ha ha! If you like Ethan, stick with it.
