Do you know the name or lyrics to this Japanese song popular in the 1950s?

My grandfather lived in Japan around 1953 and he always sang a song that sounded something like this:





"Uska dahta hahta bahta


ti nee mee tahdah


yo nee noh


fushee nee noh


yoh noh toh day"





I wrote it phonetically the best I can. I know this is not a good transliteration of it; but I don't know Japanese.





Could someone please point me in the right direction of finding this song?
