Does having a really popular name bug you?

YES! My name is Amber and there were always at least 3 other Amber's in all of my classes at school. Even now at 25 years old I have 2 best friends named Amber AND a step-sister with the same name. Because of this I've tried to give my kids names that are not as common.

My kids are:

Alexandria Elizabeth

Clayton Daniel

Dannicka Cheayne

Erynn Marie

Does having a really popular name bug you?
My name isn't common, Saoirse (seersha) so i've never had that problem. When I was younger I really wanted to be named something more common. I believe it was Jennifer that I wanted to change my name to when I was like eleven or twelve. but now I like being different.

One of my sisters, Megan, graduated with five other girls who had the same name as her with different spellings. That would be really annoying and makes me appreciate my "weird" name ha ha ha
Reply:Growing up I had a popular name (Amanda). It never really bothered me much. I always kind of liked it. Never cared that there was 2 or 3 of us in the same class with the same name. Like I said, personally, I liked it. And I could ALWAYS find stuff with my name on it. No matter where I went. My sister (Alysha) was always jealous cause there was nothing with her name on it- at least the way she spells it.
Reply:I don't have a popular name and I am very glad!! My name is unique! (It's Halston) If I had the name Ashley I wouldn't want to be known as "Ashley M." or "Ashley T."

I like my name b/c not a lot of people have it.

Hope this helps! :]
Reply:My name is a little common but used in many different ways. My name is Shanna (Shayna) and it is pronounced in like 4 different ways so that can be the only annoying part. I'd say about 1 out of 10 say it right the first time.
Reply:I have a very unpopular name Jonica, and I use to hate it when I was younger but now that I am an adult with children of my own, I love how different it is, I named my girls...Makayla %26amp; Jaylyn not too popular
Reply:My name is Westley, but it was never too popular. I only knew another guy named Wesley which I think is more common.

My sons name is Jacob, and I feel terrible now that I realize its so darn popular.
Reply:yeah because if you hear "Emily" for example 50 people turn toward you thinking you are talking to them.

If you really want attention, say "Mom" in a department store. lol
Reply:The only thing that bugs me about my name is that the only people who seem to share it are old ladies.
Reply:I don't think my name is popular at all. My name is Teresa.
Reply:Mine is Jennie. Jennifer. Yes, sometimes I wish there were less of us.
Reply:Not really since I don't have a popular name.
