We are wanting to name our son Jaxon Patrick and call him Jax. Is this too popular?

We live in Ohio. But it seems like every corner I turn I hear that name. Is it as popular as I think now or is it just because I am listening for it?

We are wanting to name our son Jaxon Patrick and call him Jax. Is this too popular?
Jax is awesome. Do you watch General Hospital? The character that plays Jax is a hotty of an Australian. Check it out. He's got blond hair and blue eyes that just make you want to melt. So go for it. I don't think it is that popular. Maybe Jack, but not Jax.
Reply:Jaxon is not as popular as a Jacob- Kudos to you for not choosing the most popular boys name!

If you are hearing the name Jaxon a lot, it is probably spelled Jackson, but pronounced the same as Jaxon.

I personally like the name Jaxon Patrick.
Reply:I think jackson is becoming popular, I just named my son Jackson with NN Jack. Jaxon less popular but growing fast as people try to come up with creative ways to spell it. I like the X in the name but not in Jackson so I named my son Jackson Xavier. So I have my Jack and my X
Reply:My husband and I loved the name Jaxon and Jackson...it's all pronounced the same. But then it seemed like we heard the name everywhere and it is defiently growing in popularity. I think that Jax is an adorable nickname. I guess I like names that are a little different too.
Reply:i personally prefer the "jackson" spelling, but i'm not opposed to "jaxon", it's still really cute. plus the nickname "jax" is nice. i would say that "jaxon" is less common that "jackson".
Reply:I don't think it is super popular, but the spelling is very unusual. I really like that name! As long as you like the name, go for it! I also like the name Carter or Carver for a boy!
Reply:It seems to be getting more popular, I have heard of lots of people who like it...but I haven't actually met any ! I think it is great and Jax is a very cute nickname!
Reply:Is the name pronounced Jackson? if it is its a common name, but by changing the spelling it look different. i think it sounds nice.
Reply:I live in California and have never heard of that name....but I have heard of Jackson and shortened to Jack. A bit different but similiar. I like the name!

Congrats!
Reply:It is becoming very popular. If you like it though, don't worry about that. If you want something more unique, what about Braxton (Brax) or Xavier (Xav ... "zayv")
Reply:It is getting very popular. Check out any online mom group and you'll find atleast 3 or 4 of them plus many more pg women that are thinking of that name. If you're going to use it spell it right.
Reply:It does seems to be growing in fame. I personally like Jackson, nn Jack. I really don't see any appeal in Jaxon, sorry.
Reply:Dunno if it's too popular, but it's definitely too silly.
Reply:i dont think that spelling is as popular as Jack or jacks

but i like it and i think its a good name for your son.
Reply:It is getting very popular.
Reply:Jaxton? No way. It reminds me of a lot of cereals. How about Jason Patrick or Jordan Patrick. The list goes on and on, but not with Jaxton.
Reply:Jax is awesome. But Patrick way too common.
Reply:How about
