How popular is the name Sage for a baby girl? and middle name Ideas? ?

Hello, I am wondering on how popular is the name Sage?

for a baby girl... but could it be used for a baby boy to?

I think it would be cuter for a girl though.

Okay, secondly I am looking for middle name ideas.

Can do both genders if you want.

No, I'm not expecting a baby yet.

I don't think it's that common. i've only met ONE little girl named Sage and that was 17 yrs ago.

i think i'd prefer it spelled Saige (because sage is a spice). i find it lovely. it's on my favs list as a matter of fact as Saige Elise.
Reply:Sage was ranked #468 for popularity as a girls name in the US in 2007.

So I think it would be safe to say little Sage will be the only one in her class! But it's known as a name, not weird or hard to spell or pronounce.

Since Sage is short and somewhat unisex, you could go with a more frilly middle name, such as:

Sage Eliana

Sage Adriana

Sage Alexandra

Sage Elena

On the other hand, you could go for one of the unisex names:

Sage Harper

Sage Addison

For boys, Sage was ranked #719, so there were about 315 little male Sages born in 2007.

I think it would be a great boys name but it would need to be paired with a strong masculine middle name:

Sage Christopher

Sage Harrison

Sage William

Sage Nicholas

Sage Hunter? Well, it's masculine, but doesn't seem to fit!

Best wishes!
Reply:I wouldn't use it for a baby boy, I like Gage or Gaige for a baby boy if you want a similar name for a boy.

Sage is really cute for a girl I also like the spelling Saige.

Saige has not been higher than 360 out of 1000 top names, and is losing popularity.

Saige Marie

Sage Elizabeth

Sage Isabel

Sage Annabel

Sage Marissa

Sage Mariah

Reply:I think she would hate that name when she gets older, but it is cute. Yuffie it a cute name (short for Josephina) or Kikyo, Kagome, Mae, Lyobov, Svetlana, or Mariska. I'm going to name my baby London, if its a girl, If its a boy, sasha Alexy, Andri, or Luloush or possibly Ming.
Reply:Girls:

Sage Caroline

Sage Emmeline

Sage Noella

Sage Morrigan

Boys:

Sage Raymond

Sage Nathaniel

Sage Austin

Sage Henry
Reply:I would stick with Sage for a girl. It is a cute name. Maybe Sage Marie, Sage Elisabeth, or Sage Addisyn.
